The “life cycle” of a product or service system is made up of the interlinked stages extending from natural resource extraction to final disposal or recovery. In a life cycle assessment (LCA), inputs and outputs of materials and energy are examined to determine the magnitude of environmental impacts that are attributable to a product or service system.

New Leaf uses LCA tools to advise clients on strategies to reduce environmental impacts in the material selection, manufacturing, distribution, use and end-of-life stages. We promote alternatives that respect the carrying capacity of the Earth and are regenerative rather than exploitive.
